I would like to take this opportunity to thank the voters of Oakville for the honour of serving as your MP for the past eight years. During this time we were able to accomplish a lot for Oakville and Canada: ensuring infrastructure funding, giving Oakville a strong voice on the national stage, introducing the biggest change to Canada’s drug safety laws in 50 years and stopping the placement of cell phone towers near homes and schools.
While the election result was not quite what we had hoped for here in Oakville, I can tell you that this is by far one of the best campaign teams I have had the opportunity to work with. I want to thank each and every volunteer who came out and helped us from day one to election day.
Thank you Oakville. It’s been a great ride!
To John Oliver, I offer my congratulations and sincerely wish him the best as he travels to Ottawa to represent Oakville. There is truly no greater honour than to represent the people of Oakville in the House of Commons.
